Miami Rivals adizero Combine: Woody Wommack's takeaways
HIALEAH, Fla. – The first of 14 nationwide Rivals aidzero Combine events took place on Saturday at Ted Hendricks Stadium outside of Miami, with nearly 1,000 athletes turning out to compete. After all of the performances, several players earned a spot in Sunday’s Rivals 3 Stripe Camp Series presented by adidas event. We run down the players who earned their way into the event as well as touch on some recruiting news regarding other top prospects who were in attendance.

Class of 2019 four-star Leigh Acres, Fla., defensive lineman Quashon Fuller was in attendance on Saturday but couldn’t work out as he continues to recover from offseason shoulder surgery. The longtime Florida State commit did talk recruiting, though, and said he’s still feeling out the new staff in Tallahassee. He’s planning on getting back on campus soon and said building a new relationship will be vital when it comes to decide whether to stick with the Noles or perhaps test the market.
It was notable that Fuller showed up at Saturday’s event sporting an Alabama hat as well as a Clemson shirt, with Seminoles shorts and Auburn wristbands, so anyone wanting to play the clothing game would have a tough time reading how his future might play out.
Fuller’s younger brother, 2021 athlete Dequaveon Fuller, also earned an invite back to Sunday’s camp after an impressive performance.
Class of 2020 Deerfield Beach, Fla., wide receiver Aydin Henningham attended the event to support some of his teammates and said his recruitment continues to take off. Henningham recently netted several major offers, including Missouri, Purdue and South Carolina. However, he said one school that has his attention is Florida. The Gators' new staff has already been in touch with Henningham and he said he’s looking forward to getting on campus and talking with Dan Mullen and company in person soon.
One player that caught the eye of the Rivals analysts in attendance was class of 2019 Miami (Fla.) Southridge offensive lineman Joshua Johnson. The hulking lineman checked in at 6-foot-4 and 307 pounds, and already claims an offer from Florida Atlantic. Other programs showing interest include Miami and Florida International. Johnson’s ability to move at his size helped him earn an invitation to Sunday’s event. Johnson’s teammate, class of 2019 linebacker Marvin Strong, earned an invite later in the day after running one of the fastest 40-yard dash times of any linebacker in attendance.
Class of 2020 Miami (Fla.) Columbus defensive end Elijah Roberts also impressed for his ability to move at his size (6-foot-4, 241 pounds) and earned an invitation to Sunday’s camp. Roberts is a prime candidate to see his recruitment take off this spring and said that Miami is his dream offer.
Among the other prospects who received invites were 2019 Miramar (Fla.) Everglades athlete Jalen Tanelus, class of 2020 Glades (Fla.) Central wide receiver James Davis, 2019 West Palm Beach (Fla.) Palm Beach Lakes defensive end Cornelius Mann and 2020 North Miami (Fla.) Mourning School athlete Shawn Guerrier. On the day, Guerrier posted two of the fastest 40-yard dash times of any prospect in attendance.
